Welcome

On behalf of the organising committee, we would like to invite you to join us for the eighth International Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICONN 2020).

ICONN is the largest biennial Australian conference series in the field of nanoscience. Since the inaugural conference was held in Brisbane in 2006, ICONN has seen success in cities all around Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra and Wollongong.

In 2020 ICONN returns to Brisbane and will feature a diverse array of multidisciplinary talks designed to connect worldleading scientists, students, engineers, industry participants and entrepreneurs working in the field of nanoscale science and technology to discuss new and exciting advances in the field.

ICONN 2020 will cover nanostructure growth, synthesis, fabrication, characterisation, device design, theory, modelling, testing, applications, commercialisation, and health and safety aspects of nanotechnology.

Being held in the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre in Queensland, Australia, from Sunday 9 February to Thursday 13 February 2020, the conference will feature plenary talks followed by technical symposia (parallel sessions) consisting of invited talks, and oral and poster presentations.

We invite you to be a part of ICONN 2020, where you will meet world-leading scientists and learn of the latest trends in this exciting and dynamic field.

About BioNano

The 2020 International Conference on BioNano Innovation (ICBNI 2020), to be held in Brisbane in conjunction with ICONN 2020, will present the latest advances in the most exciting and commercially-promising area of science and engineering: the interface between the biological and physical sciences at the nanoscale.

The inaugural ICBNI was held in 2012, and since then ICBNI has brought world leaders in the relevant fields to discuss their latest results and the latest advances in the field over the course of five conferences, held in both Australia and China.

Science and technology at the Bio-Nano Interface is delivering not only new understanding of our world, but is being translated into valuable products in a vast array of areas, such as microelectronics, biologics and other therapeutics, stem cell therapies, new vehicles and approaches to delivering drugs, advanced diagnostics tools, nanocomposites.

ICBNI 2020 is hosted by the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.
